Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel said he's trying to get Pat McAfee a role in 'Heat 2'
If you thought we’ve already reached peak Pat McAfee, think again. Massive Hollywood businessman Ari Emanuel, the chairman of TKO (owner of UFC/WWE), said he wants to get McAfee a role in Michael Mann’s Heat 2.
Ari Emanuel, the WME and TKO Group executive chairman known for making things happen in this industry, said he’s personally lobbying for McAfee to land a role in Heat 2, Michael Mann’s long-gestating sequel to his 1995 classic.
Emanuel also lauded McAfee’s performance in his upcoming feature film debut in Peter Berg’s The Mosquito Bowl, which hits Netflix on November 25.

“I’m trying to get Pat McAfee a role in a Michael Mann movie,” Emanuel told New York Magazine. “I’m not going to tell you what part. But he’s incredible in Pete Berg’s movie The Mosquito Bowl, and he’s really good in the Taylor Sheridan show with Stallone, Tulsa King, so I’m trying to get him into this thing.”

Heat 2, based on the 2022 novel Mann co-wrote with Meg Gardiner, has Oscar winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale tapped for the lead roles of Chris Shiherlis (Val Kilmer) and Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino), respectively. Oscar-nominee Adam Driver is also on board as Otis Wardell, the antagonist from the Heat 2 novel.
Stephen Graham has landed Robert De Niro’s iconic part of Neal Maculey, while Jason Clarke, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Odessa Young have also been cast.
Given its predecessor — Heat is widely considered to be one of the best movies of the 1990s and one of the defining modern crime movies ever made — and its heavyweight cast, Heat 2 is easily one of the most highly anticipated movies of the next few years.
It’s hard not to feel like McAfee’s presence in the film wouldn’t cheapen the whole thing.
