Have you ever met someone that doesn’t like Paul Rudd?

When it comes to the likability of Hollywood A-list actors, Rudd has to be near the top as his genuinely endearing personality has helped propel a now three-decade-long acting career that’s spanned from sitcoms to blockbuster behemoths.

Another aspect of Rudd’s cult of personality is his seeming agelessness, as the 53-year-old arguably looks younger than he did 20 years ago.

And while Rudd’s increased profile, and therefore subsequent access to resources, certainly helps, his secret to looking young is actually far more simple: good sleep.

“Sleep,” Rudd proclaimed when asked what his anti-aging secret was during an interview with Men’s Health.

“Then diet. Then weights. Then cardio. People ask me, ‘Can you send me your meal plan? How many times a week do you work out? Do you drink? Do you eat carbs? Do you have a cheat day?’ The most important part of training is sleep. People will set their alarm and then sleep for four hours and they’ll get up so that they can train. They’re doing themselves a disservice. If you can somehow get eight hours of sleep…”

Rudd’s latest film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamia, hits theaters on Friday, February 17. The film also stars Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O’Brian, and Bill Murray.

He’s also set to star in season three of the hit Hulu series Only Murders In The Building alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and fellow new cast member Meryl Streep. Having begun production earlier this year, the new season of Only Murders will certainly release sometime during 2023, likely before the end of summer.
