Nature Photographer Snaps Perfectly Timed Photo Of Monkey Recreating Iconic ‘Lion King’ Scene

by 2 years ago

Life imitating art. And not just any boring art that you’ve never seen or heard of. The iconic scene from The Lion King where Rafiki holds up Simba for all of the animal kingdom to behold. A monkey recreated the circle of life moment in real life and it was captured by a talented photographer for all to enjoy.

Israeli photographer Dafna Ben Nun captured the perfect photo of a monkey holding up a baby monkey in the same pose as Rafiki from Disney’s 1994 animated movie The Lion King. The 38-year-old photographer snapped the perfectly-timed pic in Zimbabwe.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw an adult baboon holding a baby, looking exactly like Simba in The Lion King,” Nun said. “It was just a split second, but it was fascinating to watch!”

No word on whether Nun blasted “Circle of Life” by Elton John during this precious moment.

Dafna Ben Nun has some other extraordinary nature photography on her Instagram and on her website.
