We are all learning how to adapt to a brand new world of restrictions. That means that you shouldn’t be throwing parties for 100 people in your tiny apartment. However, all is not lost. We thankfully have the technology to bring everyone closer without bringing people physically closer. Post Malone is hosting a celebrity beer pong tournament that will be virtual, so nobody is putting themself or others in danger.
The Beerbongs & Bentleys singer is hosting the Ballina Cup, a remote beer pong tournament featuring some prominent singers and pro athletes. The celebrity tournament, which is being dubbed as “The March Madness of Beer Pong,” was announced by Post Malone’s friend and fellow artist MIKE.
“We got the most epic beer pong tournament in the works! It’ll be on IG live for everyone & we have an amazing roster (it’s all virtual, opponents playing from their cribs & merging on IG) All proceeds donated to COVID aid,” MIKE tweeted.
There’s even a trophy, and it is something.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Stevie Daniels Ballina Cup trophy,” Post said in a video. “This belongs to the finest beer pong player of the evening and at the end of the season it’s gonna go to the finest team.”
Besides Post Malone and MIKE, the online competition includes fellow musicians, Machine Gun Kelly, Kane Brown, Morgan Wallen; MLB stars Trevor Bauer, Mike Clevinger, and Marcus Stroman; NHL player Tyler Seguin; NFL players Travis Kelce and Danny Amendola; former NFL players Johnny Manziel and Rob Gronkowski as well as Gronk’s girlfriend, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Camille Kostek.
This is exciting, musicians and Johnny Manziel will get to play against real NFL players.
Each team pays an entry fee, which will all go to charities that are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ballina Cup Beer Pong Tournament has 16 teams that will play over the course of eight nights with games being broadcast on Instagram Live.
Post played beer pong against Drake in February.
