President Trump announced on Twitter late Thursday night that he and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for coronavirus. The positive test came after President Trump revealed that his close aid Hope Hicks had tested positive.

While President Trump has not stated whether or not he is asymptomatic or showing any symptoms, NY Daily News is reporting that he is showing “minor, cold-like symptoms” hours after testing positive. The Associated Press is reporting the same, that the President is showing “mild” symptoms. The NY Times reported on Friday morning that President Trump appeared lethargic during a fundraiser in Bedminster, NJ on Thursday.

The Dailly News also reported that officials were weighing treatment options on Thursday night and attempting to come up with a plan of how Trump could address the country.

Dr. Ronny Jackson, an ex-White House physician, has said that the President is asymptomatic and will be ready for the next Presidential Debate scheduled for October 15.

President Trump tweeted that he and the First Lady will begin quarantining immediately. Democratic Nominee Joe Biden tweeted early Friday morning that he and his wife Dr. Jill Biden send their thoughts to the Trumps for a swift recovery.
