Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, recently tied the knot for the third time and married a yoga instructor named Sky Daily after the got engaged in July and fast tracked the wedding to this past Friday, September 23rd.
Noticeably absent from the wedding was Hulk‘s famous daughter, Brooke Hogan (Brooke Ellen Bollea), who has dabbled in reality TV, the music industry, as an actress, and has moonlighted as a TNA/Impact Wrestling announcer.
After chatter started building with speculation around why Brooke Hogan wasn’t at her dad’s wedding to 45-year-old Sky Daily, she got ahead of the rumors and used the dreaded Notes App to explain why. Her explanation is perfectly reasonable: she is currently prioritizing her mental well-being. But it does seem like just yesterday that Brook was penning a lengthy poem in public defense of her father.

“As many of you know, I value my privacy, but unfortunately, a lot of media outlets are making assumptions as to why I did not attend my father’s third wedding. Instead of leaving it to speculation, I decided it’s better to shut it all down here.
As we all experience this with our own families, the dynamics of a family unit continuously change over the years.
With that being said, my family has experienced a LOT of change. With all of it happening in the public eye, I’ve had to learn how to best navigate those changes as they come, which has been difficult to say the least.
For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values.
I wish him well.”
Every family unit is unique and those relationships are often complicated. Brooke Hogan is showing a tremendous amount of emotional maturity here by being able to prioritize her long-term needs over the short-term wants of her loved ones.
It is important to acknowledge that her decision to focus on her ‘journey to healing and happiness’ is in not directed at her father. It is not uncommon for statements like this to be misinterpreted.
Folks left on the outside often assume it’s about them, or they are the reason for the actions. And that misses the point entirely, that the person is choosing to focus on their own mental health and happiness and prioritize that over others.
Hulk Hogan also knows a thing or two about prioritizing mental health. He recently opened up about overcoming the ‘vicious cycle’ of pain pill addiction.

Sky Davis is now the second stepmother Brooke Hogan has had after her father got divorced from Linda Claridge in 2009.
Not much is known about Sky Davis but a few outlets have written details they were able to scrape from public profiles. PEOPLE, for instance, says she is a 45-year-old yoga instructor whose “bio previously stated that she worked in the fitness industry and also helped small businesses.” They also write that Sky Davis has three children of her own, so Brooke Hogan just gained three new step-siblings.
They got engaged after 1 year of dating. Then the wedding was fast tracked and came together in under three months which might be a record for celebrity wedding planning.
