‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Star Clowns On ‘Florida Joker’ For Demanding $2 Million From Rockstar

Florida Man with Joker face tattoos in GTA VI trailer

The man known as the “Florida Joker” has been vocally displeased about a character he seemingly inspired showing up in the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, but he’s probably fighting an uphill battle to get compensated based on what a voice actor from Red Dead Redemption 2 had to say about the matter.

Earlier this month, Rockstar Games released the long-awaited trailer for GTA VIwhich was filled with nods to the state of Florida and the many residents who’ve managed to make headlines for some incredibly strange reasons.

That includes Lawrence Sullivan—a.k.a. the “Florida Joker—who earned that nickname for reasons that are pretty obvious if you’re familiar with the mug shot that went viral when he was arrested for a probation violation in 2018.

Sullivan hopped on TikTok after the trailer was released and accused Rockstar of stealing his likeness before suggesting he should be compensated to the tune of $2 million. It’s very unlikely the video game publisher is going to meet those demands, and one man who’s worked with the company in the past outlined why that’s the case while having a little bit of fun with the story in the process.

While you may not know Roger Clark by name, if you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re very familiar with the talents of the voice actor who portrayed leading antihero Arthur Morgan. Over the weekend, Clark also headed to TikTok to respond to the Florida Joker while giving him some advice on the best approach to take.

Here’s what he had to say:

“They’re not going to talk to you. They’ve had people like you trying to sue them for decades. They are lawyered up, man. They know exactly what they can and cannot get away with.

If I were you, I would use the notoriety that they just threw your way to my advantage. Capitalize on it somehow. You ain’t getting a job at Home Depot with that face.”

That basically sums it up.
