There have been multiple reports of a creepy clown, or clowns, harassing residents of Cloquet, Minnesota. Local police, unfortunately, have so far came up empty when responding to the scenes of these alleged incidents.
According to the Pine Journal, locals have reported on social media seeing clowns that were armed with knives. However, the Cloquet Police Department has not found any evidence of this…yet.
The first official report of a clown harassing someone came on Sept. 19. In that incident, the clown was near an intersection charging at people’s cars and pointing his fingers like a gun at them.
The second alleged clown incident in Cloquet happened on Oct. 8 when a mother reported a clown chased her child around and followed them down the street to an intersection near the Cloquet Middle School. The clown in question reportedly had synthetic white hair, and was wearing tight black pants and a black jacket.
The mother said the clown was wandering the parking lot at the middle school. She also reported that she had heard of a similar incident that occurred two days before her encounter.
Despite not there not being any documented reports of multiple clowns or that a clown wielded any weapon, Cloquet Police Chief Derek Randall, wrote in an email that his officers “will continue to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in the city, particularly regarding anyone clowning around.”
Meanwhile, in Virginia…
Video taken Tuesday night on a Ring doorbell camera has been causing a stir in Alexandria, Virginia. In the video, three people, including one in a clown mask, can be seen repeatedly ringing the doorbell and banging on the door of a home. The three masked miscreants also threatened bodily harm to the family and even went so far as to threaten to kill them.
“At first I thought it was just a Halloween joke, a little prank,” a woman named Shayla, who was there at her mother’s home when the incident happened, told WUSA News. “So I said, ‘Happy Halloween.'”
The trio damaged the fence into the home’s backyard as well as a screen-in back porch trying to get inside.
“They were just hitting the window,” Shayla continued. “My heart dropped when they said that they were gonna take a chair and break down the door. That is just too much. It’s not even a joke gone wrong. They tried to enter into the home.”
