The Final Trailer For ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Is Here And It’s Beautiful

Disney

With just two months until the official release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Disney unleashed the film’s final trailer during the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and New England Patriots, providing perhaps the only excitement of the night due to an otherwise awful game.

And truthfully, it’s blindingly epic.

Check out the final trailer for the concluding chapter in Star Wars‘ epic Skywalker saga below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film, which is set to be the final in the six-movie Skywalker saga that began with Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977 and resumed in 2015 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

“The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more as Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron’s journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences.”

In addition to the release of the new trailer, tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker went on presale earlier today.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker  — the sequel to Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the sixth film in the main Star Wars story — will star Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher.

If you want to get your fix of the galaxy far, far away prior to the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker — which will be released in theaters in the United States on Friday, December 20 — you can check out the new Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian on Disney+ beginning on in just a few weeks on Tuesday, November 12.
