Academy Award winning actor Russell Crowe is a generational talent on the big screen. He is one of the most famous actors walking the earth. Which paradoxically means that most of the world has no clue what he is like behind the scenes as A-List actors tend to be more guarded than most.
Lately, Russell Crowe has been emerging from his veil of privacy to show off his incredible watches. He’s a massive watch nerd and Russell Crowe knows ball when it comes to his watches.
Russell Crowe Shows Off His Watches, Has Amazing Stories For Each
How do I know about Russell Crowe’s watches and his love of horology? Certainly not because I’m one of the 16,000 or so people that have found his tiny TikTok account. To explain, let’s first talk about ‘Andy’s Watches’ on TikTok.
If you are not familiar with Andy’s Watches and you are into watches, then you’re welcome because it is about to become your new favorite account. His signature videos are ‘reviewing watch collections without permission‘ where he goes around TikTok and finds people sharing their watch collections then goes through and shares what he loves/dislikes about each.
I put ‘without permission’ in bold there because it’s well established at this point that many watch collectors are posting their videos hoping that Andy will review them. Many make reference of the ‘without permission’ in their original videos and that will often catch Andy’s attention or people will tag his account in the comments.
What does this have to do with Russell Crowe?
Well, Russell Crowe first dropped a video back in January where he specifically made mention of ‘without permission’ to get Andy’s attention. Then the Academy Award-winning actor proceeded to show off a truly special collection, including many micro brands, with rare watches that most people have never even heard of.
Here is that first video of Andy’s Watches reviewing Russell Crowe’s watch collection:

Russell Crowe was back this week with two new videos showing off his uniquely exquisite collection of watches. I dare say that Maximus Decimus Meridius would approve of the hard work that went into building such a special collection of time pieces.
Crowe shared a part 1 and part 2 video, showing off an Italian micro brand of watches named Giuliano Mazzuoli. In the caption he wrote ‘permission denied’ as an obvious nod to Andy and wanting to share his watch collection with the broader world of watchheads, watch snobs Watch Idiot Savants (WIS), or whatever you want to call the community. Russell then added ‘you will see, however, this episode is for you’ as he started talking about his watches.
The video focuses on the Italian micro brand ‘Giuliano Mazzuoli.’ The eponymous founder was an Italian rally car driver who became a designer after retiring from racing. Check it out:

And here is the “quick part two” because Russell Crowe saw someone in the comments asking to see a specific part of one of the watches. Did you have any idea that R.C. is a man of the people? The star of Gladiator is out here making TikTok videos to show off his watches for watch nerds on TikTok. We really need to appreciate this man for spreading knowledge like this:

For those wondering, the Manometro Blue with the blue caseback is listed at $4,150 on the Giuliano Mazzuoli website. It immediately called out to me when I started bouncing around the site looking at the pieces. Absolutely stunning.
Andy’s Watches has not responded to Russell Crowe’s latest video, as of yet, but rest assured a new clip will come soon. At some point we need to get these two guys on camera together for a live video of some sort. Their shared love of horology could turn any watch skeptic into an appreciator of the underlying mechanics and art that goes into building a fine watch.
