Summer is winding down which means music streaming giant Spotify has finally named their Song of the Summer for 2023 and Morgan Wallen took the top spot followed by Peso Pluma and Taylor Swift.
Using global streaming data and US streaming data, Spotify was easily able to pull up a list of the most-streamed songs of the Summer both here in the United States and across the globe. Peso Pluma’s ‘Ella Baila Sola’ took the top spot worldwide and was #2 domestically.
But Morgan Wallen’s ‘Last Night’ has been named Song of the Summer in the United States for 2023. Wallen’s anthem beat out Peso Pluma’s ‘Ella Baila Sola’ in the second spot and Taylor Swift‘s ‘Cruel Summer’ as the third-most streamed song of Summer in the US.
Morgan Wallen dominated this year’s Song of the Summer rankings as the only artist with three songs in the top 20 most streamed tracks. Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Peso Pluma each appeared twice on the top 20 as well.
