Sydney Sweeney celebrated the upcoming release of Euphoria‘s final episode by sharing a batch of behind-the-scenes photos. Given the nature of her character Cassie Howard and her general career thus far, many of the photos see her scantily clad.
After premiering on HBO in 2019, Euphoria is set to air its series finale tonight — Sunday, May 31 — with the eighth episode of its third season, titled “In God We Trust.” Sydney Sweeney has been one of the many breakout stars of the show alongside Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer.
While the storyline for Sweeney’s Cassie Howard has been controversial due to its depiction of online adult content careers, the 28-year-old seems to have certainly enjoyed playing the character based on her latest Instagram post, which she captioned: “It’s called… acting.”

Cassie’s storyline — which sees her become an adult content creator to help pay off husband Nate Jacobs’ family debt, performing increasingly explicit content (such as dressing as a dog and a baby) managed by former best friend Maddy — drew criticism from viewers who called it a “humiliation ritual” and accused creator Sam Levinson of exploiting Sweeney. Real-life women in the industry also weighed in, with several criticizing the storyline’s unrealistic portrayal of the business.
“I don’t get nervous. I think that the female body is a very powerful thing. And I’m telling my character’s story, so I owe it to them to tell it well and to do what needs to be done,” Sweeney previously said about filming Cassie’s many scandalous scenes. “She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She’s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love… This season is unhinged.”
S3E8 of Euphoria, “In God We Trust,” will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, May 31 at 9 p.m. EST. All of the prior episodes are available to stream on HBO Max.
