Sydney Sweeney greeted some young fans while filming in Hoboken, NJ
Sydney Sweeney is busy filming The Handmaid’s Secret in Hoboken, New Jersey. She took some time out of her day to greet some young fans who gathered on the edge of the set to see her.
The former Euphoria star was filming The Housemaid’s Secret, the sequel to last year’s hit thriller The Housemaid — the most financially successful movie of her career so far — in Hoboken, New Jersey, when she met a group of young fans.
Sydney Sweeney kept a promise to a group of young fans by returning to take photos with them while filming The Housemaid’s Secret
Instagram videos from the set show Sweeney promising the kids that she’d come back to take photos with them before later keeping her word and returning.
In The Housemaid’s Secret, Sweeney is back as Millie in the sequel, with Morrone returning as Enzo. Bridemaids filmmaker Paul Feig has also returned to direct the sequel.
The original The Housemaid was a major box office success as it opened to $19 million on a $35 million budget and ultimately grossed $400 million worldwide. Lionsgate greenlit the sequel less than a month after its theatrical release.
According to reports, the new story — an adaptation of Freida McFadden’s follow-up novel — follows Millie as she takes a housekeeping job for a woman she never meets face-to-face, “uncovering secrets darker than her own past behind a locked door.”
The Housemaid’s Secret is currently scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on December 17, 2027. Alongside Sweeney, the film will star Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, Paul Anthony Kelly, and Enzo Accardi.
In addition to The Housemaid’s Secret, Sweeney’s upcoming projects also include Gundam, The Custom of the Country, Split Fiction, Sleepy Hollow, The Caretaker, Barbarella, and more.
