Sydney Sweeney has proven she's not shy about stripping down to sell products

One thing that you can count on Sydney Sweeney to do is take off her clothes to sell a product. She’s done it for Dr. Squatch, American Eagle, her lingerie brand Syrn, and now the sports betting app Novig.

In a new ad posted to her Instagram account, Sydney Sweeney is seen wearing nothing but her birthday suit and posing with various sports equipment: a football, soccer ball, basketball hoop, etc.

Sydney Sweeney again stripped down to her birthday suit to move product, this time shilling for a sports betting company

The fact that Sweeney’s most marketable asset is her body is nothing new, but it’s certainly fascinating considering her status as an A-list actress. In the past, these sorts of risque ads would come from the likes of Kate Upton: models who’ve become celebrities. Occasionally, an athlete like Danica Patrick would pull a similar stunt.

Sweeney, however, is an A-list actress who has a very clear path toward movie stardom. And they say the key to being a movie star is being mysterious, which is a notion that Sweeney has completely eschewed thus far: there isn’t much we don’t know about her, whether that be her personality or her body.

There’s an argument that she’s making hay while the sun shines, i.e., using her looks to make money while she still can. And all the power to her for doing so. But every time she strips down for some interchangeable product, she also wipes away a layer of movie star sheen and becomes more of an influencer and sex symbol who just so happens to star in movies.

After a busy 2025 that saw her star in five different films, Sweeney didn’t make any film appearances this year after her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2 was cut. Her upcoming roles, two of which are dated to release next year, include The Housemaid’s Secret, The Custom of the Country, and Gundam.
