Sydney Sweeney has already made some major moves in her brief post-Euphoria career, which aired its series finale over the weekend. In the days after the Euphoria finale, Sweeney announced the creation of a new production company and signed onto another starring role.
On Monday, June 1 — just one day after the Euphoria series finale — news broke that Sydney Sweeney was launching a new production company. The company has a predictably cheeky name that seemingly references Sweeney’s public persona, as it’s called Honey Trap.
A “honey trap” is defined as “the use of a romantic or sexual attraction to lure a target into a compromising situation, usually to extract sensitive information, blackmail them, or catch them in a lie.”
“At Honey Trap, we are committed to championing visionary filmmakers, complex characters, and stories that push beyond expectation while remaining deeply entertaining and emotionally accessible to audiences worldwide,” a statement about the company’s launch read.

The following day, reports indicated that Sweeney had signed on to star as Katrina Van Tassel in Lindsey Beer’s Hollow, which is described as being a reimagining of the iconic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow novel that “positions Van Tassel not as a romantic prize, but as the central figure in a dangerous mystery and seductive supernatural love triangle.”
“The story blends gothic atmosphere, psychological intrigue, and erotic thriller elements into a contemporary, high-concept reinvention of the classic tale. Sweeney will play Van Tassel in the feature version. The novel is being fast-tracked for publication and is scheduled for release in Fall 2027, timed to align with development of a feature film adaptation.” [via Deadline]
Hollow is just one of many projects that Sweeney is attached to in the coming years. Earlier this summer, production began on Netflix’s film adaptation of the popular Japanese manga/anime franchise Gundam, which she’ll be starring in alongside Noah Centineo, Michael Mando, Shioli Kutsuna, Gemma Chua-Tran, Nonso Anozie, Javon Walton, Oleksandr Rudynskyi, and Jason Isaacs.
Sweeney is also attached to films The Housemaid’s Secret — a sequel to her 2025 hit The Housemaid, the most-successful film of her career so far — Custom of the Country, The Caretaker, Split Fiction, Scandalous!, I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl, and Barbarella.
