Tasty Tune Tuesday 12/22: The Sixth Edition Is Decked Out In Christmas Lights And Hung By The Fireplace

Tasty Tune Tuesday

With Santa’s trip around the world coming up, it’s time for another edition of Tasty Tune Tuesday! On the third of every week, I’ll drop ten songs that tickle my eardrums. Variety of tracks will range from hip hop/rap, EDM, country, singer/songwriter, Americana, R&B and everything in between— something for everyone depending on what I’m jamming that week.

This week is a little bit different. Christmas Day is quickly approaching and the playlist has undergone a complete holiday transformation. It’s 25 hours long and I put it on shuffle on the day after Thanksgiving every year. It might quite literally be everything. Here’s a taste of the songs on the tracklist:

Track No. 1: Take Me Home For Christmas – Dan & Shay

It is rare that I hear a new Christmas song and immediately put it into the heavy rotation. This was an exception. Dan & Shay are incredibly talented in their own right and they team up for a very

Track No. 2: All I Want For Christmas  — DeJ Loaf, Kodak Black

Merry Kodak Christmas!

Track No. 3: Little Saint Nick — The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys was my first concert. Actually, at the time, it was just a singular Beach Boy. Either way, I grew up on the California surf group and they’ve always been a part of my life. Little Saint Nick is a classic.

Track No. 4: Jingle Bells — Michael Bublé

To take an OG song like Jingle Bells and make it your own is difficult. Bublé jazzes it up, crooners it down, and throws some sultry riffs on the back end. It’s my favorite version.

Track No. 5: It’s Christmas And I Fucking Miss You — Charly Bliss, PUP

Charly Bliss may not be for everyone and that’s okay. Their emo punk rock sound is incredibly unique and unapologetically different. Lead singer Eva Hendricks was a good friend of mine at church growing up and she really sounds unlike many other lead vocalists. 2020 has been a hard year and this song lets it out. You’ll be wailing right along by the end.
