Woman Checks Into Texas Omni. Then She Gets Kicked Out Of Her Room Because They Booked Her Next To The Dallas Cowboys

An Omni Hotels & Resorts guest and her large group say they were all asked to switch rooms close to midnight.

While staff allegedly told them it was because of a broken pipe, the group suspects it may have had something to do with who else was staying on their floor that night.

In a video with over 123,700 views, TikTok creator Crystal (@nursecmm10) films herself having a phone conversation with hotel staff. Viewers, however, focused more on how she spoke to the supervisor.

What Went Wrong During Their Omni Stay?

Crystal starts the video by filming the clock, which reads 12:31am.

Moments later, a hotel supervisor named Bethany calls her room.

“I am assisting the room move,” the employee says. “I do want to let you know that Miss Karina did talk to the manager, and these rooms are comped.”

The supervisor also tells Crystal that hotel staff will bring up new keys and help the group move their luggage.

“You guys are giving us our money back completely?” Crystal asks.

“That’s correct,” the worker responds. “Both rooms are gonna be comped and they’re facing each other on the 7th floor.”

But Crystal has another question.

“Would you guys be able to show me where the busted pipe is that you guys are claiming is up here?” she asks.

The supervisor says she can’t do that but can speak to the engineering manager the following day.

“Well, I thought they were coming up right now ’cause it was an emergency,” Crystal responds.

The employee explains that she can help with the luggage but is about to finish her shift.

“You’re off after this?” Crystal asks, laughing sarcastically.

The conversation eventually gets to the reason Crystal suspects why they were moving the group.

“Just to verify, you guys are telling us that the move is due to a busted water pipe and not because we’re on the same floor as the Dallas Cowboys?” she asks.

“I can’t confirm that, ma’am,” the supervisor responds.

Crystal says a security guard had allegedly told the group that the Cowboys were the real reason.

“You guys would have been better off being honest and saying, ‘We messed up. The Cowboys are on that floor and you gotta go,’” she says.

Crystal also questions why the issue only arose so late at night if both her group and the team had already been staying on the floor.

“The Cowboys have been on the floor. So have we,” she says. “Why is it an issue now?”

The supervisor says she understands and will pass along the complaint before again confirming she’s bringing up the new room keys and assisting with the move.

Viewers Thought She Was Being Too Harsh

A lot of commenters thought the hotel had already done quite a bit to fix the situation.

“??? she was so kind and COMPED YOUR ROOM!!! in life s– happens unfortunatley & having patience/being pleasant will get you much farther,” one viewer wrote.

Another agreed.

“Your rooms are comped and they are helping you move… if my rooms were comped I wouldn’t argue. You’re staying for free now,” they wrote.

Others thought she was rude.

“I get that it’s a hassle but you were unnecessarily rude to her,” one commenter said.

At least one hotel worker, however, said they could understand why Crystal was irritated.

“I’m a supervisor at a hotel and I totally see both sides,” they wrote. “Y’all say she’s being snappy, but it’s midnight. After being in the room for 8 hours, wouldn’t y’all be a little snappy?”

They also took issue with one part of the employee’s response.

“Also ‘I’m off after this’ is WILD,” they added.

Do Sports Teams Book Out Entire Hotel Floors?

Yes. For professional sports teams, reserving large blocks of rooms or even entire hotel floors for privacy and security is not uncommon.

For example, hotel-industry publication CoStar spoke with several properties that regularly host professional teams. One general manager said his hotel will “generally block off two guest floors” when teams stay there.

The Dallas Cowboys themselves have also acknowledged just how much attention follows them to team hotels. In a behind-the-scenes look at road trips, DallasCowboys.com said the team usually travels to its hotel with a police escort and that Cowboys fans are often waiting in the lobby when players arrive.

So the idea that a hotel might want to restrict access to a floor occupied by the Cowboys is entirely plausible.

What isn’t clear is whether that is actually what happened here.

Teams usually arrange hotel stays in advance, meaning a hotel would normally know ahead of time which rooms or floors are off limits.

If Crystal’s group really had been placed on a floor intended exclusively for the team, that would suggest some kind of booking or operational mix-up.

However, there is also another possibility: There really was a maintenance issue involving the rooms or floor, and the timing had nothing to do with the Cowboys at all.
