‘I’m Gonna Throw Up’: Texas Woman Goes To Take A Sip Of Panda Express Drink. Then She Sees Legs

Most people don’t think twice about checking their fast-food fountain drinks. But after watching this Panda Express customer’s viral video, it may become a new habit for viewers.

“Oh, my god,” TikTok creator Nathalia (@natpatty444) gasps, starting off her video. “I am documenting this to show you I’m not lying.”

She points the camera at the iconic red Panda Express soda cup.

“There is an animal—I think a lizard—in my Panda Express drink,” she says. “I’m trying not to freak out because I almost put my straw in it and took a sip, but I was like, ‘Let me open the lid.’ Oh, my god. I’m gonna throw up.”

The content creator shows a tiny, orange-colored reptile submerged in her soda.

“What is that?” she asks, repulsed.

Mustering up the courage, Nathalia fishes the creature with a fork.

Based on its lack of eyelids, it appears to be a tanned, lifeless gecko.

All of a sudden, she slaps one hand against her mouth, shocked. The camera starts shaking as she retches.

Horrified, she vows, “I’m never eating Panda Express ever again!”

‘Now I’m Checking All The Drinks I Get’

Nathalia’s video amassed 1.7 million views, and many in her comments section gagged alongside her.

“I would’ve actually [thrown] tf up,” one viewer remarked.

“Now [I’m] checking all the drinks i get now before i drink it lol wtf,” another stated.

“Noooo I really thought she was going to trick us. That’s freaking disgusting,” a third said.

Furthermore, others encouraged her to take some type of action.

“Omg it’s crazy that WE just found a lizard in OUR drink!!!! Let’s sue ASAP,” one commenter suggested.

“CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT NOW,” a second urged.

How Does A Gecko End Up In A Panda Express Drink?

Geckos have impressive ability to scale walls and just about any surface is rooted in science. According to Earth Rangers, these little reptiles have tiny hairs on their feet called “setae” that are topped with pads known as “spatulae.” Together, a sticky adhesive is created. This allows geckos to stick to surfaces.

Therefore, the gecko most likely climbed or slipped through an opening of the building and found its way into the cup, soda machine, or ice machine.

So, Does She Have A Case?

While stumbling across a deceased gecko in a drink is repulsive—and perhaps heartbreaking—simply feeling the urge to vomit isn’t enough to win a lawsuit.

Instead, you must show solid proof of how it harmed you after consuming it. For example, Law Office of Stephen L. Since Nathalia didn’t sip the contaminated beverage, she likely doesn’t have a case.
