Laurie Bostic really wanted to be a part of Rockwall, Texas’ 4th of July parade. The 61-year-old wasn’t included, but she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, local police received a call about a disturbance. There was a woman driving a tractor around the 4th of July parade staging area at Utley Middle School.
The authorities came across a hilarious and dangerous scene upon arrival. Bostic was told that she could not participate in the parade and was refusing to cooperate with officials.
She was pissed and decided to join the parade anyway. Police said that not only was she not allowed, but she was driving recklessly. When they tried to pull her over, she refused to stop driving the tractor down the route.
Officers eventually forced her from the road. In doing so, Bostic drove into a fence, crashed the tractor and rendered it disabled.
A TikTok user named ‘philtheroofer’ caught the whole thing on video and it’s as wild as it sounds.

As the video (and an officer who does his best to stifle a laugh) says, it was Bostic’s tractor. Here is a compilation of the whole occurrence:
She was taken into custody.
Bostic’s charges:
- Evading arrest — a third degree felony
- Interference with a processional (this is my new favorite charge of all-time) — misdemeanor
- Disorderly conduct — misdemeanor
- Criminal mischief — misdemeanor
It is unclear whether Bostic was intoxicated or under the influence, but there are no reports that say so at this time. Thus, a crazy 61-year-old lady soberly decided that she was going to join the local parade on her tractor and actually thought that nobody would take issue with it.
