A24 has released the first trailer for The Iron Claw, which stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson as members of the infamous Von Erich family.

Efron stars in the film as Kevin Von Erick, White plays Kerry Von Erich, and Dickinson portrays David Von Erich.

According to A24, the film details “the triumph and tragedy of a true American sports dynasty.”

Here is the official synopsis for The Iron Claw, via A24:

The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

In addition to Efron and White, The Iron Claw — which is directed by Sean Durkin, the filmmaker behind Martha Marcy May Marlene and The Nest — also stars Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany, and Lily James.

The Iron Claw will be the first major film that Whtie has starred in following his breakout role on the hit FX series The Bear.

As for Efron, the film continues the 35-year-old’s surprisingly long-lasting and increasingly diverse career.

The 27-year-old Dickinson has also been on a rapid rise in recent years, starring in films such as The Kingsman, Where The Crawdads Sing, and Triangle of Sadness.

The Iron Claw will be hitting theaters in the United States on Friday, December 22.
