It’s been a wild couple of weeks on Theo Von’s podcast, as the Cajun comedian has had both Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump on his show.

Given Theo Von’s unique brand of comedy, specifically his delivery, he’s said things to both Sanders and Trump that most people would never imagine saying to elected officials, let alone ones so high up in the government.

While speaking with Donald Trump, for example, Von hilarious detailed the effects of cocaine, which Trump claims to have never experienced, as the 78-year-old is famously sober.

“Some of the stuff started to get a real rattle in it, too, I don’t know where we’re getting it from in this country but it started to make me feel like I was a mechanic or something,” Von said.

“So you’re way up with cocaine more than anything else you can think of?” Trump asked, setting Von up for a truly all-time description of Colombian marching powder

“Cocaine will turn you into a damn owl, homie,” Von told Trump. “You’ll be out on your own porch, you’ll be your own street lamp.”

The hilarity didn’t stop there, though: “And is that a good feeling?” Trump wondered. “No, it’s horrible,” Von bluntly replied.

Trump also explained that his sobriety stems from the relationship that his brother Fred Trump had with alcoholism.

“I had a great brother who taught me a lesson: ‘Don’t drink.’ And he said ‘Don’t smoke.’ He smoked and he drank… he had a problem with alcohol, and smoked a lot. He got addicted to it. They say alcohol is tougher than drugs to get off of.”

In response, Von then detailed his own journey with abuse, saying that he’s currently in recovery and has been in recovery for “most of the last ten years.”
