Woman Goes On Family Vacation. Then Her Grandparents Take Everyone To Twin Peaks: ‘The Concierge Said There Were Good Views’

A restaurant with a view is just one way to elevate your family vacation. The problem is, when it comes to restaurants like Twin Peaks, “view” can mean something incredibly different.

This is something that TikToker @spongeybungey’s grandparents presumably learned the hard way, with the user sharing a viral video about their trip to Twin Peaks.

In the video, the TikToker and her brother could barely contain their laughter as she revealed via on-screen text that their grandparents were taking them to Twin Peaks after the concierge said it had “good views.”

The video then cut to them being driven and then pulling up to Twin Peaks. Sadly, what happened inside remained a mystery, although @spongeybungey did say in the video description that it was a “vacation of nightmares.”

The TikToker and Twin Peaks didn’t reply via TikTok direct message and email, respectively.

How Did Commenters React?

Based on the comment section, the TikToker’s grandparents aren’t alone in committing this particular faux pas.

“My family and like 5 other families didn’t know what it was and went there because it’s right next to Carowinds,” one explained.

“My mom’s senior adult church group thought it would be a good place for an after church lunch,” a second shared.

While a third admitted, “Took my wife and and newborn there a week ago. Did not know.”

Still, the scantily clad servers aside, other commenters emphasized that the food there really does slap.

“Bro minus all the other good stuff about twin peaks the food actually gas bro,” a fourth wrote. “Went there geeked with my mom, was genuinely locked in on the wings and fries,” a fifth added. And a sixth chimed in, “Lmao my bf and I go to Twin Peaks for hangover food, they have really good nachos.”

This Isn’t A New Issue

In another viral TikTok, Australian natives Andrew and Laura (@itsandrewandlaura) shared how they decided to go to Twin Peaks with their young children after relocating to Texas. The couple clearly hadn’t done their research, with Andrew insisting that “it looked like a cool place on the outside.” A stunned Laura added, “We’re just surrounded by a–”

In an email to BroBible, the couple added, “We had just been on a family walk when we decided to just find somewhere on the way home to have dinner. We’d driven past Twin Peaks a few times before and thought it looked cool. Like an American restaurant with a Colorado/lodge style vibe.”

Evidently, these TikToks emphasize the importance of doing your research before going to a restaurant. Even if it looks like an unassuming sports bar on the outside.

Still, Twin Peaks workers have to put up with a lot.

So, arguably, a slightly confused family is probably the least of their worries.
