Welcome To The Brilliantly Dumb Show

A couple days prior to this year’s Super Bowl, New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkely sat down for an interview with Spotify in Miami.

While discussing podcasts Saquon was asked,

What non-football podcasts do you listen to?

The Brilliantly Dumb Show. Robby Berger is amazing. In his podcast he covers sports but also goes beyond to share funny stories and experiences he has encountered in everyday life. One of my favorite episodes is episode 31, “Bobby Baseline and the Hardwood Boys.” Gives an amazing description of when we first met. It had me dying, he’s so funny.

For those of you who aren’t considered what is known on the show as “friends of the pod”, I want to give you a little insight on what you will be getting with BroBibles new podcast, The Brilliantly Dumb Show.

For years I have unwillingly found myself in a lot of Larry David-type of scenarios that a lot of people can relate to. From accidentally stealing Ron Artest’s jacket courtside at the Lakers game, to being scolded at Trader Joes for taking too many hummus samples, The Brilliantly Dumb Show touches all angles of everyday life that never seems to be spoken about.

I live in Los Angeles and spent most of my career in the luxury hotel business. I go into detail about different encounters I have had with athletes and celebrities, most of which I wish I could take back.

What else do you need to know about me? I like a good bagel and Caesar salad. I golf with my pal Cold Cuts. I’m from Jersey. In addition, I am a huge sports fanatic who knows the ins and outs to a Las Vegas sports book way more than I should in my mid-20s.

Each episode starts off with a sports segment of the week, followed by a couple of comedy bits which leads us into our “Ask Bob segment“, where fans close out the show by asking any question they may have for myself, known as “Big Game Bob.”

Today is my first episode of The Brilliantly Dumb Show under BroBible. Episode 33 is called “Prop Bets and Spare Ribs” – in this episode I discuss the legacy of Kobe Bryant, bizarre Super Bowl prop bets that I hit and missed on, as well as a new elementary school in Jupiter, Florida that charges $60,000 a year for my friends six-year-old daughter to attend.

I could not be more excited to have the BroBible faithful come aboard to listen to our podcast and see some of the work we have been putting in and what we have planned for you all.

In the meantime, I’ll let you go as you have 32 other episodes to catch up on.

As we like to say on the show, welcome aboard the content train folk.
