A couple in China is getting divorced after 8 years of marriage after the husband discovered his wife had put them into debt after sending all of their money to a male streamer. According to reports, the wife felt lonely at home and become ‘obsessed’ with the streamer.

The husband’s wife to her was simple: ‘you stabbed me in the back’ by emotionally cheating with a streamer and sending them all their money.

Wife Sends Streamer $94K, Husbands Asks For Divorce

According to the South China Morning Post, the wife sent the male streamer 670,000 yuan (approximately US$94,000). To some wealthy couples across the globe, a missing amount of $94,000 might go unnoticed but that was certainly not the case here.

The SCMP reported the husband tells Henan TV he is now trying to recover half of the couple’s property. He says his ‘basic living expenses’ only amounted to $42/month and he sent all of the remaining income he’d earned to his wife each month in hopes of giving her a “sense of security.”

She is/was a stay at home mom. They have one child together. And as he’d leave for work each day she would stay home to look after the kid, or so he thought, because the reports claim she was then sending all of their money, in addition to a $11,200 loan she’d borrowed, to an unnamed male streamer.

In total, it’s being alleged she spent 1.6 million yuan of the couple’s money with 640K of that going to the streamer.

The husband would later say “I have been saving money on food and expenses and offered all my money to her. However, she gave the money to another man. I think she just could not stand loneliness.” He’d tell his wife “In Zhengzhou, I live in a basic flat costing only 300 yuan, which does not even shelter me from rain or wind. But look at what environment you live in – a comfortable house with a heating system. I trusted you so much but what you did is like stabbing me in the back. I do not love you any more.”

Understandably so, if all true. Finding out your spouse has emptied your bank account to send to a random streamer online is a breach of trust I cannot begin to wrap my mind around.

A report from Dexerto cites a similar case last year where a man in China sent $550K to a streamer just so that streamer would call him ‘bro.’ … Let it be known, I’ll call any of you ‘bro’ for free. Please do not deplete your savings. I’ll call you bro, boss, chief, whatever you need to hear. Just keep your money in savings.
