The doomed “Willy Wonka Experience” in Glasgow, Scotland has taken the internet by storm in recent days and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

After bite-size videos of the disastrous Willy Wonka Experience have been dominating social media in recent days, the “extended footage” — as the below viral tweet called it — has now gone public, adding even more hilarity to the whole situation.

In a perfect summary of the entire ordeal, the video begins with a young boy visibly flinching at the sight of “The Unknown”, which is, according to the event’s AI-generated script, an evil chocolate maker that lives in the walls.

Things got so bad at the Willy Wonka Experience, in fact, that children — who were given “three jelly beans and a cup of lemonade” — were leaving in tears. The police even eventually showed up at the event, which was being held at the Box Hub warehouse in Scotland.

The Willy Wonka Experience fiasco has even led to those involved with the event speaking out, such as Kirsty Patterson, the woman seen in the viral “Oompa Loompa Meth Lab” picture.

“I was angry at the time because I felt like this is embarrassing for me, and I felt bad for the people coming in as well,” Paterson said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

“I actually ended up shouting at the guy. I just said to him he’s a joke and this is embarrassing, and how can wh basically live with himself, doing this to people. This is really embarrassing for me,” she added.

On Wednesday, House of Illuminati, the organizers of the event, issued a statement on Facebook and shared a screenshot showing that 850 refunds of $44 had been issued. The post, however, is no longer visible.

“The process of giving your money back has already started as a number of people can confirm,” the company wrote. “The intention was to genuinely create something special for you that didn’t work out… Today has been a very stressful and frustrating day for many and for that we are truly sorry.”

The launch of the Willy Wonka Experience came after the Timothee Chalamet-starring film Wonka grossed over $600 million at the global box office.
