I’m fairly confident that if I were to attempt to chug a 2-liter of soda as fast as humanly possible it would come back up within 30 seconds. This dude is an absolute beast for this record he set and it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around this Guinness World Record because I wouldn’t have even been able to finish this challenge let alone do it quickly.

Eric “Badlands” Booker is a multi-talented man. He’s a rapper. He’s a competitive eater. And now he’s a Guinness World Record after chugging a 2-liter of soda in 18.45 seconds.

Technically, he broke this record a few months ago but Guinness World Records just recently certified it and shared footage of him breaking the record.

Eric Booker is currently the #23 ranked competitive eater in Major League Eating’s rankings. I assume these are the industry-standard for rankings as they have Joey Chestnut ranked #1 and we all know that’s the truth.

Badlands has broken more than a handful of eating records in the past. He holds the record for 15 BurritoVille burritos in 8 minutes and 21 baseball-sized matzo balls in 5 minutes, 25 seconds. Eric’s records don’t stop there. He’s eaten 50 traditional Purim cookies in 6 minutes, 9.5 one-pound bowls in 12 minutes, 4 pounds of corned beef hash in 1m58s, and holds additional records in onions and candy bars.

I don’t know why but the peas one has me shook. He ate 9.5 POUNDS OF PEAS in 12 minutes. How many peas is that?!? The answer is too many peas. Like 9.25-pounds too many. I’m envisioning a full YETI cooler full of peas. Waaaayyyy too many peas.
