I’ve never left a negative review for a restaurant online. In order for that to happen, I’d need to be served the worst meal of my entire life or I’d need to find a dead rodent in my dish.
Even then, I’m still too lazy to go online and write a review. I will tell the story to every single person I meet for the rest of my life.
Some people, however, live for the chance to put a restaurant on blast for the smallest infractions or inadequate dining experience.
A Reddit user from Germany visited a local restaurant after a long day of hiking shared their meal to the website’s “Shitty Food Porn” forum.
The Redditor, Gandi14, wrote “This Salad for 6 Euros after a long mudflat hiking tour” and posted a photo.

The post received over 2,000 upvotes and a ton of follow-up questions.
Gandi14 explained that the salad wasn’t seasoned at all and didn’t come with a side dressing. It was just as it appeared in the photo – a couple of tomatoes sliced up with raw onion on top.
Perhaps the best part of the meal was this exchange between two Redditors in the comments of the photo.

This plate of tomatoes isn’t a salad, and it’s not worth the price, so I still wouldn’t leave a negative review online.
And it’s still better than a salad from any pizza place.
