Wyatt Russell Sure Sounds Like He’s Teasing A Steve Rogers Cameo In ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’

Following last week’s episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans may never be able to look at the Captain America shield the same after what John Walker did to it.

Warning: spoilers for the latest episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, “The Whole World Is Watching”, will follow.

Turning the iconic shield into a weapon of murder instead of a weapon of protection, John Walker effectively changed what it means to be Captain America, tainting the legacy built by Steve Rogers.

Given the larger-than-life shadow that Steve Rogers casts over The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’s hard to imagine how the iconic character doesn’t, at the very least, make a cameo appearance, right? It certainly sounds that way based on recent comments from Wyatt Russell, the actor who’s been putting in an excellent performance as the deranged John Walker.

“Have I ever met Chris Evans? I think I have,” Russell told BBC. I don’t think I’ve ‘shook his hand’ met him, but I think I’ve walked by him somewhere and made eye contact. That counts as being a stalker, that doesn’t count as meeting anybody. But, I guess it would. You just gotta wait until the end of the series and then everybody will be like, ‘Oh, wow.’”

The final two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier promise to be the best yet — literally, producer Nate Moore said Episode 5 is the “strongest episode both from an acting standpoint and from a filmmaking standpoint” — and an appearance from the *true* Captain America would certainly add fuel to that fire.
