Original Story:

An 11-year-old kid youth football player in Florida was arrested and is facing serious charges after allegedly shooting two of his fellow teammates during practice this week

Police Chief Mike McKinley revealed that the young suspect managed to get his hands on a firearm from his mom’s car and used it to fire at his teammates.

The youngster reportedly fired off a single round, and it struck both of his teammates. One of them ended up with an arm injury, while the other sustained upper body wounds.

The parents might also find themselves in hot water if it’s proven that they left the gun in a place where the kid could easily grab it.

Thankfully we learned that the two injured kids are expected to make it, which is definitely a relief.

But this incident leaves us all wondering some pretty big questions about how this could’ve been prevented. This was really unfortunate overall.
