“I saw them and said to my publicist, ‘Can I pretend to fall?’ and she said, ‘I can’t stop you,” Schumer told TIME about the stunt.
Of course this was probably just a way for Amy Schumer to generate some publicity for her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer, which returns on Tuesday, but the looks on Kim Kardashian and especially Kanye West’s face makes it totally okay in our book.
Schumer did speak to the couple after the prank and Kim, for one, thought it was pretty entertaining.
“I talked to them. They were like, ‘What?’ Kim was worried for me, and I think Kanye was just, like, scared that I was doing something,” the Inside Amy Schumer star says, who also made the list of Time’s 100 Most Influential People this year.
“They were really sweet. Kim was really funny,” Schumer adds. “She goes, ‘Oh my god, I was like, does this girl need help?’ She was like, ‘That was really funny.'”
