On Saturday, Zack Snyder unveiled a new TV spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on his Twitter, which also aired during the NFL Wildcard game between the Kansas City Chiefs against the Houston Texans. In the stirring new 30-second clip, Superman wrecks the fuck out of the Batmobile, and Batman is none too pleased.
Batman climbs out of his badly damaged and flaming Batmobile to ask Superman, “Do you bleed?” Henry Cavill’s Superman says nothing and then flies away, leaving Ben Affleck by himself and muttering in disgust, “You will.”
In an interview in People, Snyder explained why Ben Affleck is the perfect Batman.
“He’s an amazing Bruce Wayne, let’s just be frank about that. And then when he puts the cowl on, you know he’s got the chin for it. Casting Ben felt like a no brainer to me. I know that there was some backlash, but he’s just so perfect to me, especially in his size and his age.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a March 25, 2016 release date and also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
