Release Date And Price Revealed For Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered And There’s Bad News

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

Activision

Previously, if you wanted to get your hands on the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare you had to purchase the high-end copy of Infinite Warfare. Finally, Activision is offering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered standalone where you don’t have to buy a bundle. The release date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be on Tuesday, June 27. The video game will be available both physically and digitally for PS4, with “other platforms to follow” such as Xbox One and PC following sometime thereafter. CoD:MW comes with the campaign and 16 multiplayer maps.

The price for this remastered decade-old game will be $40 standalone… but it does not include the “variety map pack.” The “variety pack,” which was released earlier this year, includes maps Killhouse, Creek, Chinatown, and Broadcast. Activision sells the DLC separately for $15, the original map pack cost only $10. So you’re pretty much paying the same price for a game from 2007 that you would for a brand new game.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the first game in the series to break away from the plot revolving around World War II, a conflict that CoD will be returning with their upcoming chapter Call of Duty: World War II.
