HBO Go Crashed During The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Premiere And People Lost Their Dang Minds

Arya Stark Game of Thrones

Helen Sloan / HBO

Season 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones premiered last night. The show opened up with probably the best scene to start any season of the show. I’ve made no attempts over the years to hide the fact that I believe Arya Stark is the best character on the show and based on last night’s opening sequence it appears as if some of the show’s writers agree with me.

While I was watching the show live on HBO, there were millions of people logging into HBO Go, HBO’s online streaming service. In the past, HBO Go has had problems with crashing during the season premiere/finale of Game of Thrones because the servers can’t keep up with the demand. Going into last night, everyone thought there was no way in hell the servers would crash because HBO knows the demand and by now they must’ve finally fixed the problems. WRONG.

HBO Go crashed and everyone lost their goddamn minds on Twitter. It was such a big deal that HBO Go crashing began to trend on Twitter’s Moments:

Get your shit together, HBO Go. You know the demand.

Now, if you’ve already watched ‘Dragonstone’ and want to read a full recap of the episode you should head on over to UPROXX and read Alen Sepinwall’s season premiere review.
