It’s not just a sequel or reboot, it’s a reimagining. That’s the main thing to take away here, because while many game mechanics may feel familiar to you that doesn’t mean that there aren’t new additions to have fun with as well…except for the multiplayer. That’s more “ho hum, been there done that” than single player mode.
In the end, it’s still Doom, and it’s a hell of a good time.
