The Dude or His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing, is, unquestionably, the greatest movie character of all time. It’s good knowin’ he’s out there. The Dude. Takin’ ‘er easy for all us sinners. And that’s why it fills my heart with glee that Jeff Bridges brought him back IRL on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday to honor Big Lebowski co-star John Goodman.
Bridges rambled like a man just trying to enjoy a beverage, man. Just a shame that Walter couldn’t lead off with a single, sharp “Shut the fuck up, Donnie!” for old time sake.
