Okay, so Disney is revamping Rudyard Kipling’s classic The Jungle Book yet again, and it looks like it’s going to be a ridiculously epic, action-packed take on the fine novel. None of that 1967 animation shit (kidding, 5-year-old me loves that movie). Or any that 1994 sub-par acting shit. This is pure man vs beast in the jungle supported by a great cast, and I am so in.
Apparently this trailer came out last week and I’m a little late to the party, but whatever. Fuck it. At least I made it, because looking forward to this thing releasing in April just made my week. Totally one you have to see in theaters, no excuses. The animation looks absolutely astonishing, and how can you go wrong with a star-studded cast like this? Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, and Christopher Walken to name a few.
Book it right now, early “Stoner Flick of The Spring” contender without a doubt.
P.S. Is it wrong I even find Scar-Jo sexy when she’s playing an animated snake? That’s a rhetorical question.
