Over the past several years, movie memorabilia has grown increasingly more valuable as several items from the golden days of Tinseltown have become available for public auction for the first time in history thanks to Debbie Reynolds putting her collection up for public auction a few years ago.

Her collection has been one of the most extensive and impressive private movie memorabilia collections ever compiled. She started collecting the items to save the history of film memorabilia that was slowly being sold off until there would be nothing left from the beginning of the motion picture history.

Following her auctions, the rise in movie memorabilia being purchased at auctions has increased so significantly that the items being purchased have also grown more valuable too. So, we went on a mission to find the 100 most valuable movie memorabilia items sold in an auction.

Since a lot of the data seems to be confusing, depending on where you pull it from, we are going to list the items by what the buyer paid for the item which includes the buyer’s premium (an administrative fee charge added on top of the hammer price for the item, usually a percentage of the final bidding price.)
