Marvel and Netflix stealthily dropped a quick teaser for their much-anticipated superhero crossover show The Defenders today.
The teaser, which appeared on Netflix’s YouTube account then vanished shortly thereafter shows all four of their superhero show characters Daredevil (Matt Murdock), Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist (Danny Rand) in an elevator.
No idea where they are headed, but that’s because Jessica notices the security camera and delivers a headbutt to it before we can find out. However, because the camera’s timestamp reads 08:18:20:17 when she does it we now know that The Defenders will premiere on August 18, 2017.
There is also an internet address (http://23.253.120.81/) that appears in the footage which leads to a faux web site for these superheroes’ favorite newspaper the New York Bulletin where Netflix confirms the premiere date, among other things.
