There’s A ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’ Movie Reboot Happening And A Sneak Peek Just Debuted At SDCC

At one point in time, Rocko’s Modern Life was one of the most popular cartoons for older millennials. It was one of Nickelodeon’s biggest hits, but it only ran from 1993 to 1996. Recognizing that the same 90’s kids who were glued to TV sets back in the mid-90’s are now the same people taking their toddlers to the movies, Nickelodeon is doing a Rocko’s Modern Life movie reboot and Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling is set to hit theaters next year.

San Diego Comic-Con 2017 is currently taking place in Southern California, and Nickelodeon released a 2:39 clip of Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling that has sent 90’s cartoon fans into a frenzy. One commenter claims ‘this is how you do a classic cartoon justice…’ and another stated ‘Nickelodeon is slowly redeeming itself with these movie revivals’.

I’ve yet to see any negative feedback about what Nickelodeon is doing here with modern movie reboots of classic 90’s cartoons. The timing is right. They’ve got the money. Why not bring back the cartoons that people want to see, right? Right.

Are you bros hyped for Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling? I said I haven’t seen any negative feedback about this film yet, but I’m sure there’s a handful of people out there who aren’t okay with this.
