Trailer For Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Looks Like A Bloody Good Time

The Netflix show “The Man in the High Castle” examines what would have happened if Germany and the Axis Powers had won World War II and taken over the United States. Bethesda has released the trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus where they have a similar focus on what would happen if Nazis took over modern-day America and there was the beginning of a revolution to rebel against the Germans.

This is the latest sequel to the original Castle Wolfenstein, which was developed by Muse Software in 1981. This comes after the 2014 game Wolfenstein: The New Order and the 2015 prequel Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, which are also in the alternate universe in which Nazis won World War II. The latest chapter’s title, “New Colossus,” is named after a poem by Emma Lazarus written in 1883 to raise funds for the Statue of Liberty and was inscribed on a plaque on the inner wall of the statue’s pedestal in 1903.

There are plenty of fire-breathing robots as well as bloody violence. B.J. Blazkowicz will travel through Roswell, New Mexico to a flooded New Orleans as well as New York City after the nuclear fallout in an effort to round up soldiers for a “second American revolution” against their German overlords.

Plus, you can drop acid.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 27.
