Coldplay has literally been on the butt-end of “Things White People Love” jokes since, like, 2008. In the last few years they’ve been replaced by The Chainsmokers as The Ultimate Hollister Shopping Spree Soundtrack band, so it was only a matter of time before Alex Pall and Drew Taggart linked up with Chris Martin for an white girl anthem. Coldplay teased it a few weeks ago and today people who love Nicholas Sparks movie adaptations got that wish.
excited for @thechainsmokers' album; I've heard some songs and I love them. cm

It’s called “Something Just Like This” off the forthcoming Chainsmokers album Memories.

And, of course, Twitter has mad jokes:
Coldplay and The Chainsmokers made a song together…. can't wait to hear it every 5 minutes at a party and see every white girl bumping it

There’s no doubt this jam will gross each performing artists a couple more million. *bless up emoji*
