File this under “things to look forward to” in December. The inimitable Donald Glover is prepared to drop his third full-length Childish Gambino album, titled Awake My Love, on December 2nd. To hype, he dropped a new track — “Me And Your Mama” — which you can stream above or on Spotify right here.
It bangs and, in a way, almost reminds me of early ’70s Apostrophe (‘)-era Frank Zappa record. Am I crazy for thinking that? Childish’s beats and emphasis on orchestration is truly incomparable in the modern rap game.
