Chillest Kid Ever Turns NYC Subway Station Into A Grateful Dead Shakedown Party

As a unabashed Deadhead, is the dopest video I’ve watched on the Internet in a while. For those not familiar, there’s an Americana music group that performs at the Bedford Avenue L Train stop at night. Personally, they’re some of favorite subway performers in the city. When they went into a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Me and My Uncle,” one girl channeled her inner Deadhead, dancing like she was on the floor of the Nassau Coliseum in late 80s/early 90s. Her moves — along with those of her the girl with the green hair, who I can only assume is her Deadhead momma — inspire others on the train platform to start shaking it with no cares in the world. This kid is being raised right.

NYC: Where random, magical things happen with strangers at the drop of a hat, especially to the sound of amazing music. Is there anything better than seeing happy strangers dance? The Dead isn’t just music; It’s life.
