Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Mean Tweets Country Music Edition’ Is So F’n Good You Almost Feel Bad For These Country Stars

After reports of last night’s Game 7 World Series TV ratings have started rolling in it’s safe to say that ALL of the Country Music industry is wishing they’d postponed the CMA’s by a night. The preliminary TV ratings for Game 7 are 25.2 and a 40 share, and to put that in context the most watched NFL games of this season so far are 15.8, 15.5, and 13.1…The World Series fucking DEMOLISHED those, and with 40% of American households tuned into the game I think we can all assume there were only about 15 people watching the CMA’s last night, which is a shame.

I’ve actually got the CMA’s on my DVR and plan on watching it tonight, as I’m sure countless other Country Music fans across the nation are. It’s a shame that this year’s CMA’s went up against the most watched baseball game of my lifetime because I generally love watching the CMA’s because I love seeing Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood torch all of the country music stars who take themselves way too seriously.

Before I get to my DVR tonight to see Brad and Carrie get all political, which apparently happened in their opening monologue, I’m stoked to see that Jimmy Kimmel’s put all of these urban cowboys on blast in ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets — Country Music Edition #2’. Hunter Hayes got torched. Dolly Parton took one hell of a shot but brushed it right off because she actually prides herself in looking like a hooker. And that comment about Little Big Town’s blonde chick looking like Mugatu from Zoolander was absolutely spot on.
