Rick Ross Was Shot at More Than 20 Times in Drive-By That Was Not Staged

It turns out, though, that Ross wasn't lying. News broke today that the Fort Lauderdale police are investigating the drive-by shooting as a real and “active and ongoing criminal investigation.” The shooter even allegedly shot at the Teflon Don more than 20 times. 20 times against a 300-plus-pound guy! Either we're dealing with an awful, awful shot, or God is a “Port of Miami” fan.

From MTV this morning:

Initial reports stating that Rick Ross was the target of a drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale were hard to believe on Monday morning (January 28), but as the day progressed officials in Florida confirmed that the MMG rapper was in fact the intended victim.

Ross was riding with girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-El in his Rolls Royce when an unidentified gunman opened fire around 5.a.m. causing the Miami native to lose control of his car, crashing into a building near the intersection of Southwest 15th Avenue and East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. According to some reports, Ross' car managed to avoid the gunfire although some witnesses reported hearing more than a dozen shots.

The shooting incident has now been classified by local police as “an active and ongoing criminal investigation.”

Stay out out there, Rozay.
