Here’s Keanu Reeves’s Secret To Getting In ‘Killer’ Shape For ‘John Wick 3’ And His Rep Count Is Insane

Keanu Reeves has been in the acting game for a long time.

There are two main reasons why.

First, the guy looks amazing and hasn’t aged since ‘Point Break,’ and second, he takes every role seriously. Especially his part of badass contract killer John Wick.

Reeves trains both mentally – he prepares by learning gun tactics from Navy SEALs – and physically by pairing up with a top trainer to get his 54-year-old body in peak physical condition.

Why does Reeves need to be in such great shape for a movie role? The dude does all his own stunts.

To remain a lean, mean, uninjured machine (Keanu has a history of injuries from other endeavors), his trainer needed to focus on a “high-volume routine with low-impact exercises and limited rest” for his role in ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum.’

And here’s where it gets really nuts.

“I would fit in, within the hour and a half, five to six circuits,” Reeves’s trainer Patrick Murphy told Men’s Health. “Just think of Keanu Reeves performing a thousand reps a workout, minimal rest, and it was just go time.”

A thousand reps?!?! That’s a killer workout alright.
