The New York International Auto Show is now in full swing as the public is now getting a chance to check out some of the new cars, trucks and SUVs that have already been revealed to the press.
A few of those new vehicles that have debuted this week belong to the folks over at Acura who unveiled three very exciting new SUVs — the 2019 Acura RDX, the 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec and the 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec.
The 2019 Acura RDX is the first in a new generation of Acura products. It sits atop an all-new body and chassis architecture, giving it a 2.6 inch longer wheelbase which significantly increases the cabin space (3.4 more cubic feet with an additional 1.7 cubic-feet of compartmented underfloor storage).
But that’s not the fun stuff. The fun stuff is the RDX’s direct-injected and turbocharged 2.0-liter, 16-valve powerplant which produces 272 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. The RDX also boasts a 10-speed automatic transmission, the first and only one in its class.
Throw in an interior which features a new ultra-wide panoramic moonroof, brushed aluminum, stainless steel, open pore Olive Ash wood trim, Ultrasuede and Milano leather and you’ve got yourself one sweet ride.

The 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec made a surprise debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, completing the introduction of A-Spec variants to Acura’s core model lineup.
The MDX A-Spec comes with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) system and your choice of 290 or 352 horsepower powerplants.
Mix in a new front fascia, body-color lower sills, larger-diameter exhaust finishers, as well as gloss-black and dark chrome decoration for the headlights, grille, window surround and rear tailgate spoiler on the outside, and seats trimmed in rich red or black leather with black Alcantara inserts, high-contrast stitching, unique A-Spec gauges, sport pedals, carbon-look console trim on the inside and the MDX A-Spec should be one very fun SUV to drive.
