Jack Daniel’s 2020 Single Barrel Special Release Barrel Proof Rye

The 2020 Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Special Release is out and this year’s expression is a Barrel Proof Rye that just hit shelves between 125-140 proof. I’ve sipped a sample of this (just a dram, not an actual bottle) and the cask strength character shines through but it doesn’t overpower itself like some barrelproof whiskeys out there.
This Single Barrel Special Release has a mashbill of 70% rye, 12% malt, and 18% corn and it features the distillery’s newest grain bill since Prohibition, let that sink in. It has notes of toasted fruit, raisins, and rich caramel with a deep copper color and a little rye pepper on the finish. This release is priced at $65 but it’s available in extremely limited amounts, only 200 barrels, so that price is certain to skyrocket on the secondary market.

The Cole Haan x Hasan Minhaj GrandPrø Rally Court Sneaker was just released today and I was fortunate enough to cop a pair for myself. This is a limited-edition custom collaboration between Cole Haan and comedian/actor Hasan Minhaj.
There are two styles of this sneaker, the one featured here is the Optic White-Molten Lava colorway. It has an Ortholite footbed for breathability and cushioning, a rubberized EVA outsole that was engineered to last, an inner leather heel lining, and it’s incredibly lightweight. If you’re in an office or on your feet a lot this is a perfect high-end sneaker that both looks great and will prevent your feet from getting sore.
Faherty Brand Fall and Winter Layers
The Faherty Brand Reversible Belmar Shirt ($148) was engineered to be perfectly reversible and two shirts in one. You cannot beat that. The doublecloth fabric has an airy homespun texture and it’s woven from organic cotton that’s buttery soft and light. This shirt comes in a few different styles but this one caught my eye.
Next is the Cashmere Blend Waffle Quarter Button ($348) which will likely be the single best sweater you ever purchase whether it’s for you or someone else. Don’t get distracted by the price, you get what you pay for, and this is one of the finest sweaters made. It’s a 70% Wool and 30% Cashmere blend that’s true to size and it’s made with waffle stitching to lock in warmth. This is a CEO sweater, a sweater for someone who just got a promotion or a raise.
