Atlanta Hawks point guard and NBA All-Star Trae Young just debuted his first-ever shoe model with adidas.
Named the TRAE YOUNG 1, the silhouette comes in a signature “ICEE” colorway and features a matching apparel collection.
The shoe itself is outfitted with LIGHTSTRIKE technology like many of the other adidas basketball shoes. The special tech makes it so the shoe dampens the force of a player’s feet striking the ground, alleviating stress that could potentially damage ones knees and ankles.
As for the upper, Trae worked with adidas to ensure recycled materials were used in the construction. In fact, 20% of the pieces used to make the upper are made with a minimum of 50% recycled content.
You can snag the TRAE YOUNG 1 in either a Clear Pink/Core White colorway or in a Bahia Light Blue/Vivid Red.
The rest of the collection features a blue track jacket with Trae’s logo and a matching track pant, as well as a pair of shorts, and t-shirts and hoodies with graphics relating to Trae being the “coldest in the game.”
