The United States of America makes the best everyday gear on the planet and I’m going to help make that case today. I’ve hand-picked some of 2021’s best everyday carry gear that’s made in the USA. This collection includes apparel, accessories, gear, and gadgets. Each of these American-made everyday carry essentials is here to help you live each day a little bit better from start to finish. You can purchase any of the items featured here by following the links throughout the article and/or shop the full collection@
First up today is the Leatherman Tread Tempo LT Watch + Multi-Tool ($399) which is an eye-catching wristwatch combined with Leatherman’s amazing multi-tool design. This watch has 28-tools right on your wrist. I remember first seeing their ‘Tread’ years ago when my cousin got the multi-tool bracelet and at the time I thought this was the natural evolution. Basically, each link in the watch strap represents a different tool. The full list of tools includes screwdrivers, Hex Drivers, a bottle opener, socket drive adapters, carbide glass breaker, and all sorts of wrench sizes. 28 tools right on your wrist! And it’s made at Leatherman’s factory in Portland.
The Oak Street Bootmakers Trench Boots ($468) which are exclusively available at Huckberry. The uppers on these boots are made from natural full-grain leather that’s waxed for an extra layer of protection. They feature resoleable Goodyear welt construction with storm welt and tongue gusset for increased weatherproofing. These American-made boots have dainite studded rubber soles for good grip and a stacked leather heel with Vibram toplift. You can comfortably wear these all day every day to work, traveling, or just hanging out.
The California Cowboy High Sierra Shirt ($148) in Campfire Check is handsewn in Santa Ana, California. One cool feature of this shirt is it has a dry pocket with water-resistant construction and hydrophobic zipper protect your phone from splashes and spills. There’s also a lot hidden under the hood with this shirt as it includes a beer koozie, bottle opener, and stack of conversation starter cards.
You can pair that excellent shirt with the Flint and Tinder All-American Stretch Denim Jeans ($128) which come in every length/waist configuration. They are cut, sewn, and washed in Los Angeles and have a 1% stretch added for comfort and flexibility. These jeans feature herringbone pocketing, tucked belt loops, and detailed back pocket stitching.
The premium Civilware Brad Leone Carbon Fiber Puncher ($140) is perfect for everyday carry and will last you a LONG time. This knife features an ambidextrous titanium clip, it’s made in the USA, has a liner lock mechanism for secure use, 2.5″ blade made of D2 stainless steel, a black carbon fiber handle, and it only weighs 2.5oz so it won’t ever hold you down.
Next, we see the Dango Products D01 Dapper Wallet ($69) which is so much more than a typical wallet. It holds up to 12-cards, is RFID-blocking, and has aerospace-grade anodized aluminum chassis so it’s outrageously durable but still lightweight. This wallet is a favorite of everyday carry enthusiasts because it truly holds up and it’s made in the USA.
The Fish Hook Key Ring ($21) is a Huckberry original that’s made right here in the USA. It’s ideal for saving pocket space and the matte black brass is both lightweight and durable.
Next up we’ve got the Bullet Space Pen which sells for only $25, is made in the USA, and carries the classic Fisher ‘Bullet’ design that was developed in 1948. This pen uses a pressurized ink cartridge for an even, dependable flow that will write under any conditions.
We round it out today with the AWOL Fisherman Beanie ($45) which comes in three colors (Black is pictured here). This beanie was designed and manufactured in LA and the super soft and 100% organic cotton is Global Organic Textile Standard Certified for ecological and social responsibility.
Last up today is the 1733 VX21 Ripstop Bookbag ($200) in Coyote but it also comes in a Red/Black color. This incredibly durable and water-resistant backpack is made from a performance fabric that’s a laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, a 210 denier nylon, an x-grid, a non-porous film, and a polyester taffeta backing. It has all the bells and whistles you want in an everyday backpack including a large storage space, EDC pockets, reinforced seams, and the fabric is lightweight so this bag won’t weigh you down. They’ve managed to make an incredibly strong backpack that weighs less than the competition, it’s excellent. This bag’s made in small batches in Chicago.
